Vampires and Saints

Forks WA is considered the vampire capital of the world thanks to the Twilight book/movie series. It also ranks among the wettest places in the Pacific Northwest averaging around 108 inches of rainfall annually. Most importantly it lies in the center of Washington's Olympic Peninsula home to anadromous populations of Steelhead, Cutthroats, and Salmon. It is also within close proximity of CenturyLink Stadium, the Seattle Seahawks, and the Infamous Twelfth Man.

This early December weekend, we fished a pair of steelhead rivers found in the old growth rain forests of the Olympics. To add to the fun, we were sporting a pair of new spey rods.

On Monday we jumped the ferry to downtown Seattle for some Monday Night Football where the Hawks crushed the New Orleans Saints.
