I spent a long weekend on a remote river on the North Island. We stayed at an old sheep shearer's shelter that had been converted to a guest cottage. It was great company and the fishing was awesome. The scenery spectacular. Greig stole the show on Sunday with the rainbow we estimated to be well over the ten pound mark. Paul, thanks for setting up the accommodations and providing us access to some special areas on the river. Kunio, great fishing with you. As autumn approaches, I'm looking forward to a trip to Taupo. Andy thanks for teaching me a bit of "check nymphing" technique. Stu your passion for photography is inspiring. Looking forward to seeing some pics at some point. I'm hopeful we will all have the opportunity to fish together again .

Good report, Tom! I recognize those slippery rocks! Fell on my arse a couple of times walking on them! Get out and fish as much as you can!
