Pacific Steelhead cover distances of over 800 miles in traveling from the ocean to the headwaters of their birth to reproduce. Throughout this journey, these spectacular creatures persevere a gauntlet of hydroelectric facilities, natural predators, and fisherman.
"Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1). Those who swing a colorful fly during the coldest months of the year hoping to attract the fancy of a Steelhead are individuals of great faith.
